and have any old dishnetwork receivers sitting around, stick them on ebay, youll get a good 150-200 for each one. Reason being, the cardless receievers that hackers have created in the past have been rendered useless. The cardless receivers were made to incorporate a card in case the day ever came for the need to go back to using cards. That day is here so the demand is HIGH. Like I said, if you have any old receivers with cards laying around from dishnetwork, get them on ebay asap, youll make some money.

dish rom 102 cards are hackable, yes

dish cards have been hackable for the last 10 years or better. The cards had been reverse engineered so that a computer chip could be installed into a non dishnet receiver and be used. The computer chips acted as a card. However, after 3 years, dishnet has found a way to compromise the chips and write the proper code to render the chips useless. Most of the receivers have card slots that will accept rom 102 and rom 103 dish network cards and keep the units going. As a result, the prices on rom 102 and 103 cards have skyrocketed. Because of this, i will def be sticking a rom 102 card on ebay and make a couple hundred bucks easily.
